Cindy has over 20 years of experience specializing in non-profit finance, accounting, and strategic management. As president of CHG Financial and Accounting Services, her expertise provides services to associations, educational institutions, arts organizations, housing counseling agencies, and human relations and environmental organizations.
Auditing~ Proficient in financial modeling, strategic nonprofit accounting and financial board management, Hart-Griffith has prepared nonprofit clients for over 60 audits required by federal, state, and municipal grantors, including A-133 single audits.
Experience~ Collaborations with VMJA include marketing initiatives for The American Philosophical Society and the development of Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research’s strategic plan. Since 2006, Cynthia has served as a peer reviewer for the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO). Cynthia was awarded a certificate for Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the Nonprofit Management Development Center and for several years taught accounting workshops for The Philadelphia Foundation.
Academics ~ Cynthia has a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University and was awarded the Harold C. Howard servant leader award and a distinguished strategic management award. In addition, Cynthia holds an M.B.A. in Accounting.
